My black bear hammie of almost 2 years has this yellow goo on her, like wet tail, but my friend told me it's not wet tail because she's seen it on her before for a while. My hamster keeps peeing on her self i think and shes reallllly smelly and smellin gout my room. She never used to.
Is it just because its winter or what?
And is it ok if i let her run about some warm water so her smelly bum get some smell romoval and dry her straight afterwards?

Here's a bit of information that I found helpful. PetsMart funded a study with a state university (University of Georgia, I think) that tried to figure out the specifics behind wet-tail in hamsters.
